Biographie

Touche-à-tout, j’aborde mon travail avec une diversité de médiums, peinture à l’huile, acrylique, encre et aquarelle. La mixité des techniques semble aujourd’hui bien répondre à ma démarche artistique : évoquer en traits, en touches superposées ou en aplats, souvent comme s’il s’agissait de lavis, la force et la douceur de paysages à la fois exigeants et techniques. Curieuse par nature, j’explore et expérimente autant sur le motif que dans mon atelier les couleurs et matières qui me permettront de restituer l’émotion, la beauté et la fragilité de ces paysages alpins, au milieu desquels je vis au quotidien. Avec la montagne, on apprend à lire la lumière qui fait sans cesse bouger le relief et les couleurs. Ce n’est pas simple, c’est souvent un exercice insaisissable, mais j’ai souvent fait mienne la phrase de Viollet-le-Duc :  

Versatile, I approach my work with a diversity of materials, including oil paints, acrylic, ink and watercolor. The mix of techniques seems to respond well to my artistic approach: to suggest with lines, in superimposed touches or in flat tints, often as if it was wash painting, the strength and the softness of landscapes, which are both demanding and technical. Curious by nature, I explore and experiment as much in plain air as in my studio, with the colors and materials that will allow me to reproduce the emotion, beauty and fragility of these landscapes. I live and paint in the heart of the Alps. With the mountains, one learns to read the light which constantly moves the reliefs and the colours. It’s not simple, it’s often an elusive exercise, but to move forward, I’ve often made my own Viollet-le-Duc’s phrase :
